Fitzdares Eliminator Game Rules

It is important that you read and understand these Game Rules before playing the Fitzdares Eliminator game (Game). By taking part in the Game, you are agreeing that you have read and agreed to these Game Rules.

  1. You must be 18 or over and live in the UK to play the Game.
  2. It costs £10 for each entry.
  3. You must select a different English Premier League team to win their fixture each Gameweek (Gameweek).
  4. You may only select each team once during the course of the Game.
  5. The first Gameweek will commence on Saturday 14 March 2020.
  6. If the team you selected wins, you survive until the next Gameweek.
  7. If the team you selected loses or draws, you are eliminated from the Game.
  8. Each entrant may have a maximum of two entries.
  9. If you have two entries, each entry is separate. You may not change or swap selections from one entry to the other.
  10. Entrants are competing to win a share of the ‘pool’ of prize money generated by the total entry fees (Prize Pool), minus the mini-league rewards and the commissions we are entitled to deduct, in each case as set out in the table below.
  11. The Game lasts for a maximum of 9 Gameweeks, beginning on 14 March 2020. The Game will end on the earlier of:
    a) one final entrant surviving in the Game (subject to rule 12 below), with all other entrants having been eliminated; or
    b) the final day of the English Premier League 2019/2020 season, scheduled to be on Sunday 17 May 2020.
  12. In the event the last remaining entrants are all eliminated in the same Gameweek, or more than one entrant survives the 9th Gameweek, the Prize Pool will be shared equally amongst all the surviving entrants.
  13. To enter and play the Game you must make your selection for the first Gameweek before 12.15pm on 14 March 2020.
  14. Entrants eliminated in the first Gameweek may ‘buy back’ for £20 to enter the second Gameweek only, however they may not use the same team again. If an entrant has two entries in the first Gameweek and is eliminated in both entries, they may ‘buy back’ either one or both of their entries to enter the second Gameweek only (i.e. if they ‘buy back’ on both entries the cost will be 2 x £20 = £40).
  15. A Gameweek will consist of a round of English Premier League fixtures that will usually start on either Friday or Saturday and run to Sunday or Monday but this may vary from time to time. The fixtures included in each Gameweek will be published on the Fitzdares website each week.
  16. Selections must be made at least 15 minutes before kick-off of the first match of each Gameweek.
  17. In any Gameweek, if you fail to make a selection you will automatically be given the highest placed English Premier League team you have not already selected in this Game.
  18. If a fixture is rescheduled before selections are closed, it will be omitted from that Gameweek. You will be able to choose another team up until 15 minutes before kick-off of the first match of the Gameweek. If you fail to or are unable to make a selection you will automatically be given the highest placed English Premier League team you have not already selected in this Game.
  19. If a fixture is rescheduled for any reason after selections are closed and the Gameweek goes live, the adjudicated Pools Panel result will be used (see footballpools.com). In the event there is no pools panel result, the teams involved in the cancelled or rescheduled match(es) will be marked as a win, resulting in those entrants going through to the next Gameweek but they will not be able to select that team again.
  20. If there are fewer than 10 fixtures scheduled in a Gameweek (e.g. due to adverse weather, cup ties or the coronavirus etc.), fixtures from other leagues (e.g. Championship) may be used to make up the 10 fixtures.
  21. The Prize Pool is guaranteed to be a minimum of £10,000. The Prize Pool will increase as more entrants enter the Game. For example, if 10,000 people enter the Game and each buy one entry the Prize Pool will be £100,000, to be shared in accordance with the table below.
  22. Subject to Rule 22, when the Game ends, the Prize Pool will be split in accordance with the following table:
    75% the last surviving entrant(s)
    20% Fitzdares and Network Gaming
5% reward to mini-league manager who introduce the last surviving entrant(s)
  23. In the event the Prize Pool does not reach £10,000, Fitzdares and Network Gaming will not take their share of the Prize Pool.
  24. Mini leagues rules and rewards. Any registered entrant may become a manager and create their own mini-league (Manager). This makes it easier for Manager(s) to invite friends to form their own league, record past performance and coordinate and compete against their friends and colleagues. The Manager will also earn 5% of the Prize Pool if they recommend a friend to join their mini-league and that friend goes on to win the Game outright. If there are multiple Game winners, who were referred by Manager(s), the 5% will be shared equally amongst the referring Managers. If winner/s of the Game were not referred by the Managers, the 5% will go into the Prize Pool for the next Fitzdares Eliminator game.
  25. Payouts will be made via bank transfer within 3 working days of the Game finishing.
  26. As stated in the Terms of Service, the Game is brought to you by Network Gaming in partnership with Fitzdares.
